ah...lunchtime. my brain feels very furry.

i got into work today and there were about 400 things to do because my boss doesn't know how to do anything unless i'm holding his hand. (seriously, hes afraid of the computer). so after a few hours of writing letters that say things like 'give me all your money you waste of human skin' disguised in phrases like...

i had a friend once who tried being gay. it didn't work out for him, but at least he could say that he tried it. he used to have one of those magnetic poetry packs, where you write poems on you refridgerator. we used to drink too much jack. we used to pound our bodies with as much junk as we could find and i...

No no nooooo, after i bite their heads off I don't eat them! I put them on little spikes as a warning to the other jelly baby armies who think they might have a go at attacking my lego stockbroker's fortress.

Resistance is futile - world domination is mine!

mro:
Ohhhhh rea-ea-eallly?

"Art has been the means of keeping alive the sense of purposes that outrun evidence and of meanings that transcend indurated habit."

-Dewey, Art as Experience
suicidedoggie:
Yeowzers! That's intensely packed. I'm not sure about this but I think I can come up with two broad categories of relevance here. There are some things which stabilize and build on our habitual self. I dunno. Things like when one says of oneself "I'm the kind of person who...". So, "I'm the kind of person who never takes risks." I think we all need the limitations of habit to some varying degree or we'd not be able to function, let alone be successful in a social context. And then there are other things which seem to me to be about transcending the habitual and its limitations. Good art, in my book, does this. It connects to the energy and limitless potential of what one could be; punches a hole through the wall of the habitual self - shakes things up a bit. But there are other things which do this too. Questioning or exploring one's sexual identity, for example, or any other aspect of one's self is a risky, thrilling and potentially very scary and very liberating thing to do. It can also be very destructive. The power of limits...

Maybe its a phase - Id say, buy a couple pairs - you know keep it within reason- limit it to 10 or so ($$ permiting) - and see if that sates the desire - I go through phases like that - and buy 3 pairs of boots at the same time -

I have been wanting to update this journal for sometime now with something really meaningful to say, but i have come to the conclusion today that i have absolutely nothing to say. after 25 years on this planet (and a few years elsewhere--but they dont count) my mind is a vast void at the moment. what does this mean for me? perhaps its just shut...

You don't have to worry about shipping costs - bring it back as hand luggage! If you stick it in your holdall between your camera and the tin of travel sweets I doubt if anyone would notice.

I do have a smallllll pic of the aforementioned tummy but I am a wee bit unsure of posting it. Part of the problem is actually posting it in the first place - I tried putting a pic on my journal a few days ago and it came out really really small, something about this [ ] size. Also, SG Land is full of beautiful people and I am conscious that I may be stoned and banished from the village if I post a pic of my hairy belly anywhere in the public domain. Imagine the emotional scarring people would suffer having been subject to such an image!

Hmmm, not sure at all frown

Nice rat blush
suicidedoggie:
You haven't seen Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, have you? Tsk, tsk, tsk!

Yes - where, oh where, oh where does one acquire a well-bred rat in Londinium? Who are the purveyors of top quality rats to the royal household? Does Harrods perhaps supply them? Or perhaps one can mail order them from the Norwegian fjords, from where, I hear, the finest of rats are most often sourced (Rattus Rattus Norvegiccus). When you find out, please do tell!

So, you been procrastinatin'? Isn't there a law against that? Or is that only when it involves fish?

So i'm thinking about getting my 1/2 sleeve covered in black and maybe extending it to encompass some tribal/mechanical kind of work on my lower arm/shoulder blade areas, and then getting the upper arm (that would be all black) professionally scarified with something complimentary to the lower arm/shoulderblade work.

I dont know how much this will cost and as i'm always broke, i think i...
