I've always wondered at valentine's day. I would assume that I'd have no work at all, as my normal clients would be otherwise engaged with their spouses. Not so! The romance is usually fake, and they feel obligated to put out. It's one thing to do a mercy fuck every few weeks when you feel bad enough, another to feel like it's expected just because you got taken to dinner.

I had 3 offers last night. Two in SF and one in Arizona. I decided to see my client in Arizona, mostly because she's so lonely and I really feel bad for her. I believe her husband is gay, but who knows really. He's an airline pilot with US Airways, and is gone an aweful lot - probalby more than he needs to be. I think he has 'friends' in many other cities, but she doesn't want to believe it. All the signs are there, but who knows. What we DO know, is that she doesn't get any affection or appreciation. They have no kids, live in a big house, she works full time as an administrative assistant or some such shit, and comes home alone a lot. Her husband literally does not make love to her. She sucks him off a few times a year, and they have full-on sex maybe once or twice on top of that. She was a virgin before she met him, so this is all she's really known. She's had a few lovers over the years, but nothing that interested her. I've told her to set the poor man free a bunch of times, but she won't do it. I cannot understand why peopel stay in bad relationships.

She loves the romance and the dance. Lots of kissing, candle lit bath, back massage, shit loads of foreplay. I think she likes that almost better than the sex, honestly. That's not entirely true - she is extremely enthusiastic about it, but the feeling of being loved and appreciated is more important than the orgasm for her. Like a lot of women, the orgasm might not even be possible without that.

Also, like a lot of women, she loves the spooning afterwards. She falls asleep, and I let myself out with a nice note on the pillow.

Not much of a valentines day, but it's better than her sitting in front of the TV in her PJs like every other night.
