Dustin and I went to his dad's for dinner Thursday. Yum yum yum, that man should open his own restaurant. We had cornish game hens grilled with cornbread and suasage stuffing, topped with raspberry sauce and a corn casserole. Plus margaritas and a boatload of wine. I tried sauvignon blanc for the first time and I like it a lot.

We went to IHOP the next morning (ok, noon isn't quite morning) for breakfast. We definitely need one of those around here. Delicious pancakes and eggs. I love the boysenberry syrup.

Then we shopped a bit. I discovered Rue21 and spent too much money, but got a lot of stuff, including my new favorite jeans. They are that worn in, destroyed, frayed look.

And I don't have to work til Wednesday night. Yay me. That's a total of 10 days off. And my first two days back are training for my new job. I found out I am being trained by one of my casual friends. She's awesome so training should actually be fun.

We also think we've found our next apartment for August. We are on a waiting list and we just have to get approved--they do a background check. We should be okay--Dustin had some issues with his last roommates but last time we checked, everything had been taken care of.

Its supposed to be spring. WTF?

Gotta go make us some dinner. Mmmm, fajita chicken roll and fresh green beans with parmesean cheese. Some things, I can actually cook.
