So here's the story of my birthday weekend.
Friday was my party. I only invited close friends, people I hang out with on a regular basis. Only two good friends didn't show up, one due to lack of babysitter, one due to too much going on in her life (understandable). The two girls who are like my sisters both made me homemade cards
My best male friend Joel got me an awesome Bon Jovi baby tee with a tattoo-like design on the front--I put it on as soon as I opened it. My boy got me a Coldstone cake, Space Ghost on DVD and a gift certificate for some new clothes. I also got water balloons, Cuervo shot glasses and a bottle of Cuervo from various friends. Pics will be forthcoming of the nights events.
Saturday was spent in bed til almost one. Then we lazed around and went to Lonestar Steakhouse with my parents. I'd never eaten there before and I must say, yum! I was stuffed.
Sunday, we drove down to Grand Rapids to have lunch with MistressMissy and EvanX. Long story short, Missy was my boyfriend's first online friend back in 1996 and she and I started talking on here and decided we all had to meet. So we had a chinese lunch. Those two are awesomely fun and I am hoping to hang out with them some more once Missy moves to MI.
Then we drove through the neighborhood where Dustin grew up and stopped by the house next door to his old house. Apparently, he was really close to this family and hung out there a lot, especially when his mom was sick and all. This woman was THRILLED to see him and seemed to love me as well. I mean, he hadn't been back there since he moved at least 10 years ago.
Then we drove out to Dustin's dad's house for an Italian feast (my birthday always invovles too much great food). We had manicotti, garlic bread, merlot. I harassed the grumpy kitty cat and we watched the third Matrix. We also made plans to spend a couple of days down there in April for Dustin's birthday, and because the passed an IHOP. Neither of us has eaten there and we are both intrigued, so we plan to have breakfast there the day after. And shop the GR area. Good times I am sure.
I am now back at work and hating it more than ever. Seriously considering finding a new job, even if it pays less. I only need it til August when we move. I'd rather be happy than have extra cash at the moment. Although I do need cash.......
I'll be in Holland, MI next week, to set up a new store that is opening. Meh. I was psyched, now I don't really care. At least the store isn't gonna be open so I won't have to deal with people.
Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes.
