I tutor high school advanced English composition, last night my pride of a student received the Gates scholarship. Its a full five year ride to her choice of universities. I am so proud. She read her epic poem last night an hour and a half long. Her mother cried and hugged me, and her teachers thanked me. Then several college professors came and asked me what I did. I told them I let her write watch she wanted then let her realize her mistakes Somehow this seemed profound to them.
Her student advisor is the same age as me. He has a masters in English and asked me to help him with it doctorate... He has never been published I have been published so many times I don't keep copies anymore.

I helped someone do something great that may change their life forever. Good or bad at this moment I feel great. Not bad for an old Raver. Maybe it really is near time to quit partying and finish that novel.

you don't keep copies! i keep a copy of everything i've ever designed. even fliers. trust me it's a lot. but worth it.
