IN Seattle she has been the gaurdian of outkast musci since she was built by the Mason's in 1908. The old recording studio in the back is the studio that Jimmy recorded Purlple Haze in. When Rock was a sin Billy Holiday played their. And when hippy's were crimnials of Peace, Jannis and countless others played there.
Now she is the secret undrground home of the Rave scene. A refuge when Seattle Rave Flag ship NAF was closed. No club kids here. Just real hard core.
This is the new home of my promotions. She dosen't have the 4000 capacity of NAF, but she is so Beautiful and full of ghosts that well when you are alone in her you can hear them singing their forbidden music. And now with techno being such a forbidden sound she is alive again doing what she has always doen for Seattles youth.
However though she has taken care of countless, no one has taken care of her. He 100 year old plaster cielign is falling, the girls bathroom leaks so much it knocked the ceilling down in the lower office. None of the old recording studios are maintained, they are still relics of when Jimmy recorded here.
I spent the last week of my life remoldinling the girls bathroom out of my own pocket. And I have a contractor comming in to put in the new ceiling.
She needs money, but there is no one to go to who would take her away from the kids who love her. Every day there are like at least 10 ravers running around cleaning painting, and researching to fix her ailments. They put in their own money, and still pay to come to the shows. It is really a wonderful site. However I am afraid wiht out real money things will turn for the worse. And she will be taken away from these kids.
I have decided to use a large precent of my profits to help get the money we need to put int he new ceiling. I can see no other choice. I just come how feel connected to the building. I can't explain.

I spent several hours trying to help out Lovetribe and F8 Records today. They wanted a part in Freaknight so I made a call and brokered a deal. It was a fat set up. I mean they could ran their banners and so forth to promote, And woudl get V.I.P access all night, while I had a camp for all my little followers. I would run a small sign and pass out fliers and gifts from the spot. I said "Are you sure you want to do this?"
ANd they were ya like ya, we got the money. Truth is I have ZERO money right noight of got all my cash tied up into shows and the damn venue repairs... I don't even have eats money. And my fricken foot is broken and hurts. I don't need stress.
So I am liek sure then I will sign the paper.
Next thing I know they are asking me for more and more shit. then suddenly they don't have the cash. So I am like shit well I guess I will get teh cash. And I have which means I did something I hate to do. SO then they are all planning again. And then one of them says, well I can't be there to set up, I have to work. And the other ones says thats fine since he wants the biggest share of the booth. Then tonite he says "hey I have to go visit my mom so I can't be there to set up. ANd I am lie WTF. So now I am paying for a booth with someone elses logo on it, and I am setting it up to someo one elses specks, and running it?
How the hell.
