I'm not cut out for them, and we passed by a sizable one.

And, as joker noted, the second one is real. shocked

Noble Pils may just be one of my fave SA's ever. I highly highly recommend it! It's pure awesomeness. And just so tasy. I've had 2 hours of sleep, my description of the beer isn't its best. =]

I'm getting too old for inventory. It hardly seems worth the effort anymore to catalogue my favorite books, movies or albums of 2009 since I can barely remember without checking what was officially released within the last year. And reminiscing through 2009 by events feels more intelligible only ephemerally; a few years removed, it seems irrelevant whether that relationship ended or this relative passed away...

russia has the sense to actually divide it into eleven, at least. if you look at a time zone map, china is just one giant monotone blob. (also, they don't have daylight savings time. that, i actually kind of like)

also: hooray for travels! great pictures.

It's been a strange ending and beginning. Whether it turns out to be good or not remains to be seen.

Incidentally you guys should have let me know when you were here. I would've gladly introduced you to some excellent BC beer.

Well, I've been startlingly inactive lately for obvious holiday related reasons, but God bless Las Vegas McCarran airport for their free wifi (plus the sight of slot machines at an airport terminal never gets old).

I celebrated Christmas with my family per usual in Vegas, and I'm headed back home to Kansas City for New Year's to hopefully see some old friends. Hope everyone's holidays...

Had a good time over the christmas weekend. 4 days of drinking with friends, who needs gifts? New Years for now has no plan, but that'll change soon enough.
toothpickmoe:
Relatively, yes.

Japader's been around forever, but for some reason I've been returning to it lately. My old favorites still kill me:

Man, it's been a long time since I updated and I can only look at a Spanish language version of Cheap Trick for so long. I do, however, have good reason for my lack of new blogs: I've had absolutely nothing interesting to say. Which works just fine - nothing wrong with a bit of pleasant equilibrium in one's life.

Erm, my current stash in...

Taking a red-eye flight tonight with _margot_ to check out Chicago. Should be good times.

Because we are the uber-geekiest of beer geeks, before a trip we usually google map out all the establishments with quality beer selections that we want to hit. This time, the list of beer establishments went from A all the way to W. blush So I suppose we've got our work...

Loudon Wainwright III - Grey in L.A.

When it's grey in L.A. I sure like it that way
Cause there's way too much sunshine round here
I don't know about you I get so sick of blue skies
Whereever they always appear

And I sure love the sound of the rain pouring down
On my carport roof made out of tin
If there's a flood...

A little more up the coast then one would see more of that, indeed.

It feels as close to something like Fall as it ever does here in SoCal, which made for a nice weekend. We had a pretty perfect Sunday afternoon at Verdugo bar in Glassell Park. If there's another place in the world where you can have your pick of the city's best beer selection, drink your locally made Oktoberfest while playing scrabble on picnic benches under...
