So here's the latest thing that's briefly making life worth living for the time being: the Stone Brewing 11th Anniversary celebration, down in Escondido outside of San Diego.
My beer geekishly inclined friends and I have had this event marked off since early last Spring. Not least of all because of the ridiculously majestic beer palace setting Stone Bistro provides:
We're making the trip this coming weekend, and a trip outside of LA is always highly anticipated. A trip for the purpose of drinking quality beer, even more so.

So in other news, the Conde Nast publication group, which includes Vogue, The New Yorker, Vanity Fair, & GQ among others, picked the movie I produced Paris je t'aime as the top film of the year in one of their flagship magazines, Cond Nast Traveler, as did Ebert and Roeper (as one of the year's best, not THE best). Which I'm obviously appreciative about, though what they're doing selecting the best films of the year in early September, I haven't the foggiest.
