Okay I lied. Maybe I'm not just here for the pictures.
It's been a lot of fun these past few days. My film, which has been expanding its release through the summer, finally opened in Kansas City, my hometown, so I'm briefly back in KC to see it with friends and family. I went out Friday night to catch it with my parents and a large group of old friends, and people seemed to enjoy (plus I told everyone beforehand, 'if anyone doesn't like it, make something up - I don't want to hear that shit!').
Mostly I just came back for the opening because of my parents. I've seen it enough times, but damn are they ever excited. It's downright outrageously cute, really.
