Is your song about your geeking out over your pumpkin?

Seriously...very much looking forward to hearing it. I compose music and lyrics from time to time too.

I'm so excited for Halloween. My Jack Skellington pumpkin didn't last so on Wednesday I'm going to carve another one. I'm really going to take my time with it too. I may carve 2 pumpkins. We'll have to see. I might have to do the drumset idea next year. I don't have the money for all the pumpkins that are needed for that. frown
I'm moslty...

So my computer has some kind of virus. Awesome. I'm getting pop ups like crazy.
For a class we had to write a paper on music and identity. I really liked this assignment because it's so personal and deep. Here's my draft 2.

You are soooo awesome. Great blog and happy anniversary!

Thanks for the feedback. smile I actually asked and the reason it was rejected wasn't the theme but the picture quality and the PSing which I can't control. It's ok though, because it was the first set my photographer had ever done and for that I think she did a great job. She's an SG so she was able to help me a lot with my poses and such. Still working at it though. wink

I just updated my wishlist. It's probably the most awesome thing ever. Most Disney movies and Chuck Palahniuk books.
So school is going well. I love my classes and I'm learning a lot. I'll be a recording engineer in no time. A while ago I talking about kind of feeling like I was overlooking the present because I was focusing on my future too much....

I'm glad to see you feeling so good about yourself and your future. If you could record anyone in the studio right now, who would it be?

I'm starting something new today. It's called the "Good Decision Jar"
Whenever I make a good decision, I'm putting a dollar in the jar and at the end of each year, I'm going to reward myself with something. (new ink, perhaps?)
I'm gonna write on the dollar the good decision i made. These can include not postponing doing my homework, going to the gym, resisting...

Well, having already pretty much been there and done that, with the exceptions of Serbia, Australia, and Japan, I could possibly offer the following advise. Germany, France, Italy, and England...basically anywhere in the EU, bring MOUNTAINS of money, because everything cost tons more than in the U.S. One thing I think is really good for Americans when they travel abroad is the profound understanding they acquire about just how really good we have it here in the U.S.! So many simple things we take for granted that are considered luxuries in European countries! I remember when I took my first trip to Italy in 1990 and paid $6.50 for canned Coke, that wasn't even cold!! The cars don't have A/C and neither did the hotels!! The only things I found reasonably priced were beer, wine, chocolate, and fruit!

Mexico, just too damn DANGEROUS to even think about going to for Americans. The last time I was in Mexico City a couple of years ago, we had to hire private security and now we don't go at all...PERIOD!! Do yourself a favor and scratch Mexico off your list. You're really not missing anything. It's a country of "haves" and "have nots," there is no middle class. Corruption is rampant among the police and military and you have bribe everyone to go or do just about anything!! Even the resorts are becoming too dangerous for Americans!! I love Playa Del Carmen, it's one of my favorite places in the world, but there's no way I'd even consider going there these days!!

Jamaica I've been to once back in the 80s and it was GREAT!! Can't really tell you how it is today, but we had a BLAST there back in the day!!

So, that's my two cents worth!

Take Care,
Woody

I'm happy to say that I've been to England and loved it very much. I would also love to see Japan, Italy, & Germany. I'm hoping I can do some serious traveling just like you.
