..hello all! from my last however many blogs, i had talked about applying for a position at google. unfortunately, it didn't fall through. the first interview went great; the second one, not so much😕 for awhile after, i felt very defeated - i had applied for the google position in hopes of leaving the bad vibes i was dealing with at my current job. but last week, my boss met with me&&opened up another option for me so that i was able to stay with my company, but essentially leave the particular environment (..specifically a person...) that was emotionally&&mentally draining me. i may have to work with her again at some point in the next year, but it would be very very brief (like 10-30min a day at most). the new position offered to me is a "title demotion", but my pay stays the same..&&quite frankly, considering i'm going to be a newly wed soon (18 MORE DAYS!! HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!), the decrease in "real work responsibilities" would really help me be a stressfree, new wife, who can come home&&just chill with my new hubby instead of sticking my nose in projects after projects after projects&&spending my weekends brainstorming ideas for the next week. so, despite the "title demotion", there really is no downside to all this - same pay, less work, more free time, lay a solid foundation to my marriage.
..so, in a way, this is a note-to-self (&&others, if you'd like) - ALL THINGS HAPPEN FOR A REASON!! ..even if it feels like what's happening is total shit, it happened so another opportunity, that may be even better, can come up😊💜💜
