I'm over the worst part of the cold...have kind of a cough, feel a little sickish still. I just got a flu shot, which supposedly can make you a bit ill, and I've been taking some Robitussin which gives me a funny zippy feeling. So I've got several kinds of funky going on with my mind-body, can't tell what's coming from what.
Plus it's getting suddenly ass-cold here in NYC. Heat's not on, so I'm here in my wool socks.
Haven't had any coffee since I've been sick, more than three days now. Amazing.
Turned in my first assignment in Statistics, first paper on Development of Social Theory is due next week.
A TV producer is interested in purchasing the rights to my Hurricane Katrina footage, might talk to negotiate the $ today. Gotta get back to work on my Enemy Alien documentary so I can start paying myself from this grant...
Just thinking out loud...it's a struggle sometimes to think of things to write that would actually be of interest to folks here. It feels like people in these parts don't always relate to the things I post. It's a tough time for a lot of my lovely friends here on SG. For me, it can be pretty scary being your own boss but at this moment it seems to be working out.
If you'd like a little perspective on the problems we have here in the U.S., check out the videos I mentioned in my last blog, you know, the blog that no one commented on? Wouldn't mind if someone noticed & even commented when I produce videos on the global economic crisis.
It's hit me this week how amazing it is that an online community like SG exists...something a sociologist-in-training could really trip out on. Thanks to all who've encouraged my behavior here.
