I just shot an interview with the Secretary General of the UN, in his office! I've spent the last several days trying to set it up, chasing down his secretary by email and phone and just found out last night we had a slot for this morning.

It was almost a comedy of errors leading up to the shoot...the security was insane, there was lockdown on the whole UN because there's high-level meetings on the economic crisis going on. We had to get all our gear sniffed twice by dogs, the second time we were waiting forever and had to make cue cards for him to read. I had just literally run to Staples to get posterboard and fat black Sharpie markers, and the first leaked ink all over the place when I opened it, getting it all over my hand.

Anyway, ultimately it went well, we shot with two cameras, me doing hand held.

This is all for an internal project of the UN, actually, about an interesting new project from the SG Special Projects office.

Can't believe it's raining again here in NYC! It just started to rain again for real, after sprinkling a little all day. I think it's rained most days this month of June, it must be a record. Glad it waited until I got back to the home office.

Gonna have a serious drink sometime tonight....
