Started the first of my "field research" going to a gathering in this herb store, massage & martial arts place in Manhattan Chinatown, talked with this very intense guy who sounds like your stereotypical fast-talking New Yorker yet also speaks fluent Mandarin and has been deeply involved with issues affecting the New York Chinese community for a decade.

Yeah, the economy is definitely a big topic up here currently. But i've got a few job intervies lined up in the next couple weeks, hopefully one of those will work out for me. I've definitely been taking the time to enjoy myself as times been going by though. My life is actually pretty damn fantastic right now, and i'm definitely making the best of things.
