hey, here's what's new...
celebrated Chinese New Year with AC at her Harvard friend's apt, her mom made piles of food & I discovered this great whisky called Caol Ila...which got me a slight hangover but was worth it.
getting over some kind of flu...was in bed all day yesterday. Tonight I'm going to finally scan some of the piles of slides & photos I got when I visited my Grandma Toyo after christmas.

witness my glee at discovering a box of negatives including pictures my Grandpa Hiroshi took in the "relocation camp" in Topaz, Utah where my mom was born
these are 70mm negatives!!! I bought a scanner that does negatives but they're very coy about telling you which negatives you'll be able to scan so naturally after I bought the thing I discovered that it won't scan these negatives. I hunted around for a scanner that does these that doesn't cost $500 -- I found one that supposedly does but now can't remember where I put that link...buying technology has annoyed the crap out of me lately.
Anyway, with luck there'll be more to show soon.
