I always feel like I'm barely catching up on this blog:
The trip to Ohio was amazing, I was apprehensive about putting my grandma on camera again but she was game and told me a lot of stuff I didn't know before, like how my grandfather Hiroshi took lots of pictures for the Army. He was in a regiment that had a lot of Japanese Americans in it, up to just before WWII broke out.
And just before we left, I discovered a whole box of negatives my grandpa took from before the war all the way through being in the internment camps. I'd seen some color slides before but didn't know about these black and white 70mm pictures!!
I had to get a new scanner that handles negatives and am dying for it to show up.
The other part of the visit was getting my Grandma oriented to the laptop my uncle just got for her. We got her set up on Skype!!
