all the weird knitting came from google searches... sometimes i just type in things like "alt crafts" or "subversive crafts" or other times i know theres something out there and i just have to find it, like the knit uterus. i dont think i could make one thing i posted, and i've been knitting for a few years now. maybe the shaun of the dead dolls...maybe.
thanks for the well-wishes. he's working 3 jobs and cant make ends meet, and i contribute nothing except myself,(which honestly doesnt seem to make much a difference to him) and occasionally transportation

Finished my freakin' paper...the professor said it was due 3pm and of course it took me exactly until then including the 10 minutes my printer decided to spaz out in a weird way.

I did work on Chinatown, the threat of gentrification and the efforts to rebuild since 9/11, just scratched the surface but learned some fascinating history and made some interesting new friends too....

so my brain's going to explode sometime before next Thursday. That's when my final paper is due for my Sociology class. But I also have 4 weeks of Introduction to Immigration Law coursework to catch up on.

It was our first wedding anniversary last weekend and we took a trip to Montauk:

There were these funny seaweed seed packets all over the beach...I thought the...

I totally thought that the first picture was of some sort of weird sand beetle.

Old theatres like that are awesome... its been so long since I went to one.

Good luck with your paper... I can only imagine what you are going through right now!

geez, you've just described my own practice!
It seems that lately, I've been putting off incorporating the activities that I should be doing into daily life. There is always something that I can find to put the blame on for that. But really its just my own fault.

your entry has provided me with some motivation... thanks

Have a few hours to think of and execute my own agenda before meeting an artist to check out her children's book on the WW2 Japanese American internment.

Started the first of my "field research" going to a gathering in this herb store, massage & martial arts place in Manhattan Chinatown, talked with this very intense guy who sounds like your stereotypical fast-talking New Yorker...

Yeah, the economy is definitely a big topic up here currently. But i've got a few job intervies lined up in the next couple weeks, hopefully one of those will work out for me. I've definitely been taking the time to enjoy myself as times been going by though. My life is actually pretty damn fantastic right now, and i'm definitely making the best of things.

Those photos are nice, looks like a beautiful place,

unh...it's a full time job just figuring out when to do all the things I gotta do. But I'm liking the hard work, just a little financially stressed.

Today I sat with a woman from Rwanda and typed out her translation of footage of an important and interesting woman who's a spokeswoman for refugees from Congo. This is for a documentary someone else is directing...

yeah, sorry to be so cryptic; I'd put a link but I'm a bit cautious about hyperlinks between SG and my "regular" life after a client I edited a video for followed a link back to my SG blog...but if you search for the title plus "documentary" plus, say, "detainee" or "Palestinian" you should get info on my project...plus my name...oh well EL SUICIDO LOCO
lielock:
well if you make your friends only it makes it harder for searches to find it but still happens so I have found.
But a new persona? hmm well I dunno maybe? I feel it is a little more like just boredom and it is spring.

HEYY!!!

Somebody re-activated me! I've been out of SG for a year. THANK YOU, mysterious one. My curiosity is peaked...let me know who you are so I can give you proper thanks!

I'm intensely busy but this has got me motivated to make the most of this playtime opportunity...dying to catch up with my SG-friends, I see a lot of new profile pics, some changed...

Hey there, thanks for your comment!

I'm half Chinese- and I never learned how to speak it... Since there were no classes near me in either Cantonese or Mandarin, I decided to learn Japanese instead. I have a lot of friends who come visit from Japan, so I look forward to many drunken nights trying to speak Japanese with them wink

Haha... I TOTALLY understand about procrastination
On the days that I am supposed to be doing a big assignment- I end up on SG like its crack!!!

started a new blog at wordpress I may share here.

feeling my presence on SG to be a bit superfluous of late...having trouble keeping up here, may try cross posting with my blog or something. there's a lot more of me there, but I need a slight firewall between SG and my...
