My girl Cherie is hurting. Bad. Please go visit her and let her know how much she means to us. {{{{{{{{{{Cherie}}}}}}}}}}

OK, I have made a big decision! School is taking up way too much of my time. I'm enjoying it, but I don't have time to get stuff done around the house or engage in the extracurricular activities I used to enjoy. So I'm going to cut way back on classes and maybe start bellydance lessons at Caravan Studio again. This past weekend at Tribal Quest REALLY made me put things in perspective. I want to start dancing again!!!! I have a much more realistic attitude about my dance progress this time, I'm feeling more comfortable and settled here in Portland, people at the studio are getting to know me better (especially Paulette herself, who pointed at me and said, "You! When are you coming back?"), and I just feel like it's the right thing to do right now. I do enjoy school, like I said, but it's starting to suck me dry. And for what purpose? Do I really want a Women's Studies degree? Or any degree at all? If I just cut back on classes and take things slower, I think I'll be OK. So wish me luck!! smile

Gingerlie is finally here! Can't wait to meet her..... love

OK, I've got algebra homework (see what I mean?!?!?!?!?!), so will leave you with your Wilde quote for the day:

Being natural is simply a pose.

Way to go. School -- every kind of school: grade school, high school, the brief, horrible stint of college -- was like prison to me. I still have nightmares about it.

it's funny you should mention bellydance lessons. i was just thinking about them myself, but my little blue collar CA town is a little cultureless and i have no idea if such a thing exists here. school should be for life enrichment only and if it starts getting in your way, forget it. same with work. have a nice wednesday.
