We were going to go to Peacock in the Park, the big annual drag festival, today, but Byron's allergies are getting to him, I haven't even started the new batch of algebra homework, etc. etc. etc. Plus we are still trying to recover from the record high of 96 yesterday. puke We did get a visit from Byron's sister Sharon, so that was the good part of the day. Had dinner at Old Wives' Tales, and I had the most excellent vegetable omelet. Yummm.... Sharon is studying for a degree in organic chemistry. She's a Master Gardener, and organic agriculture is a big passion of hers. She's wondering if she should just drop the schooling and become an activist, but we encouraged her to stay; what better base for activism than a solid education?

It's already beastly hot up here (or maybe it never stopped, more likely), so off to algebra and your Wilde quote for today:

It is only the intellectually lost who ever argue.

"It is only the intellectually lost who ever argue," eh? What do you mean by argue?

Certainly it is the brittle who are ideological, but isn't much argument like play, flirting or dancing?

Nice to be cooler today, eh? Peace.
