mad mad mad mad mad mad I went to start the car after my class tonight and it wouldn't start, wouldn't start, and wouldn't start again. The engine tried to turn over, made a pathetic noise, then petered out to nothing. Byron came and got me, we asked security if they could give me a jump. They tried, but it still wouldn't start. So I had to leave the damn thing...

Hey, check My Pics #54 to see the visual aid I made for my Frida speech next week! Kinda blurry but you get the idea. I used a book of postcards I had sitting around. Wish I could have done some transparencies or something, but probably would have taken too much time. Will be heading off to my writing class shortly. I've decided to go...

Don't listen to these slavedrivers. Studying's for losers.

I should have made it more clear in my entry that my chickie's living and working in a small town with bad bus service this summer. Man, when she's actually here I've got no complaints. wink Well, maybe muscle soreness and general exhaustion...

hey i really give you multiple thumbs up on your assessment of hollywood. that is the truth for sure. just remember math is the easiest subject matter in the whole world because there IS an answer to the question. of course arriving at that answer may not be as simple........

That huge exhalation you hear is the collective sigh of relief from the citizens of our fair city, as the temp drops to the mid-70's for the coming week... smile smile smile smile smile

Speech and algebra class today. I definitely have my informative speech topic narrowed down to Frida Kahlo, and I have my algebra homework done, so today should be fairly low-stress. We're driving up to Oak Harbor...

We were going to go to Peacock in the Park, the big annual drag festival, today, but Byron's allergies are getting to him, I haven't even started the new batch of algebra homework, etc. etc. etc. Plus we are still trying to recover from the record high of 96 yesterday. puke We did get a visit from Byron's sister Sharon, so that was the good...

"It is only the intellectually lost who ever argue," eh? What do you mean by argue?

Certainly it is the brittle who are ideological, but isn't much argument like play, flirting or dancing?

Nice to be cooler today, eh? Peace.

OK everyone. Your mission, should you choose to accept it: Go visit Bionicfemme and tell her how fabulous she is. Beg her to stay with us. If I ever meet whoever it is who is upsetting her so much, I am going to kick their sorry pathetic ass up between their ears so they will have something to fill up the empty space up there!!!!!!!...

I am about to join the time-honored tradition of quoting song lyrics in my journal. However, mine are not going to be the usual gloom and doom, "my soul cries out to the thundering void of hell" type of lyrics people seem wont to quote around here. I passed gloom and doom a looong time ago. Nope, I am the sort of gal more likely...

It's been either bright and sunny or dark and rainy all week. On and off, on and off. I'll look outside once and it will be grey. Ten minutes later, blue as can be. Strange weather.

Thank you ever so much for the lovely testimonial. love

This was kinda scary... Byron sometimes gets bad leg cramps in the middle of the night. It seems to happen mostly in hot weather, and after a few seconds of excruciating pain they usually ease up and go away. Well, it happened again for the first time in months at 4 this morning. Except this time, the cramps didn't stop. He couldn't straighten his leg...

I need to be doing algebra homework puke , but thought I should write a few words. Writing class is going to be intense! We have 8 weeks to write a 2500-3000 word research paper on a topic that touches on some aspect of "Fast Food Nation," which we're reading for the class (I read it a while back, but it's such a great and disturbing...

Well! I have a 3-4 minute introductory speech about myself to come up with by tomorrow; we're supposed to use at least 3 objects that represent who we are, kind of a show & tell type of thing. I plan on bringing one of my bellydance LP's, a copy of TBP and something from my mermaid collection. We'll be doing one informative speech, one persuasive...

lol YAY! you're obsessed with mermaids!!

I figured if I gave out the call I'd get a ring from somebody smile

I'd love to hear your input on the subject of Mermaids: hard to say xactly where to begin; I've communicated with at least two people, since starting this project, who believed they either were part mer or had a very intense connection with them-- and lots of others for whom the ocean is just very compelling for inexplicable reasons... Would you be one of those folks? Have you read stuff about mermaids? Hmm... not sure even what questions would be good... But would you be interested in sayin some words?

Thanks for the sympathetic words, everyone. The nail's still fairly tender but hurts a lot less. I think I do see a bit of wood still stuck under there; the dark spot may be a bit of paint. It's just gonna have to grow out, I guess. What a way to start the summer quarter... frown blackeyed

I am, however, faring better than our editor at TBP,...

I'm trying my best to keep going. It seems much easier here on SG than some other places. Maybe it's the nudity. Or the overwhelming amount of humor that the boards provide me with.

One way or the other, I will survive. Just having a rough summer. Everything will get better...I hope.

blackeyed blackeyed blackeyed blackeyed blackeyed blackeyed

I did something really, really stupid this afternoon. I accidentally got a big sliver of wood shoved underneath my left little fingernail. I think I got most of it out, but there's still a black spot that might still be some of the splinter or maybe it's blood. It hurts like HELL. I haven't done anything this stupid in a long time. It's not red...

It's probably too late to be telling you this but, for future refrence. If you get blood built up under your finger nail drill a hole in your nail. It will relieve the pressure of the blood and the pain goes away instantly. You have no nerves in your nail so the drill does't cause any pain. just a FYI
