She did lots of Witchy/Goddess-y paintings. She's definitely my favorite Pre-Raphaelite.

Just following up on my promise to get back in touch with you.

ABout the 'male energy' thing. My second tower adventure was different (and yes, I rant alot in my latest post but there were other positive aspects). The 'head witch' - I forget if there is a name for that - her son came by and had 3 of his male friends with him and she essentially called them all her 'sons' and they are definitely in the fold. She was very proud to see them in her Tower.

I don't think Men are disruptive. They are more likely to be Pan. And the women in the witch group certainly seemed to enjoy the men getting into everything with balls flying so to speak. Particularly drumming. Boys are good at hitting things.

As for the idea that pagan women like to get laid alot and that's why guys go for that pseudo-hippie free love thing...umm...I have never seen it. It seems to me that men and women connect in a coven just the way they do in a school disco or at a friend's birthday party. If anything, you've got more reason to be comfortable and spiritual with yourself in order to attract the attention of a fellow esoteric traveller.

I applaud that you can see that the double-standard affects men just as terribly as it does women when you bring up the swapping of male and female traits between genders. I don't personally believe any trait whatsoever is specifically male or female. That they are is more a function of our biochemistry and neural wiring. High presence of testosterone will have a certain effect, High presence of Oestrogen has another, but not necessarily opposite, effect. And after millions of years of evolution, Mother Nature still has some trouble maintaining a chemical balance in some of us.
Also my ideas of what I like to see in a man or a woman are completely arbitrary. After all, how do you apply a fondness for large boobs or a large cock to a being of light?

What I do with the Tarot these days is usually sort of have a conversation with the deck as I go along. Or ask it to tell me a story of sorts. I'd argue that the cat was asserting his independence in both cases: first by staying out and then by getting up on the table. I've done the same thing under similar circumstances: making a dumb decision, getting hurt and then doing something else provocative or stupid to demonstrate my own volition.
