Today is Thanksgiving! While this year, roughly 5.32 million turkeys will be killed for people's dinner tables, I will be going to a buffet. Native Foods in Costa Mesa is having a vegan buffet today and I cannot wait! If we have the stomach for it, my mom and I will also be going to Wheel of Life for dinner. It's a vegan Chinese and Thai restaurant in Irvine that has a vegan turkey every Thanksgiving. I don't expect most of the people I know IRL or online to have a cruelty-free Thanksgiving, but the least you could do is acknowledge that an animal(probably several) gave it's life for you to be chowing down with your relatives. Appreciate that, because most just eat without thinking twice or remorse. I'm hate being a preachy vegan, so I'll just leave it at appreciating the sacrifices that were made for your dinner table.
