Been bouncing back and forth this past week, between the two jobs (guard and 'Zon).. I saw my friend and her family when I went up to Bellingham. And I hope to see them again when I go back up before heading to Michigan for training.
Going to start prep work this week for the next Read Across America event in Compton. I'm looking for locals to go into the schools, reading to saw its value to kids--it's fun and rewarding. I hope that I get more surprises like last March.
I feel odd knowing that in about a year, the deployment rush will be on and I'll have more to speak about for military matters. Sad that it seems like that will curtail things on the civilian side.
