Been a very busy couple of weeks. No sooner have we finished settling into our new apartment than Anime Central is upon us. Now, way back in like early March I had placed an order for some comic books I was going to sell at the convention. The first 46 pages of my webcomic, done up in two issues. I was really excited about that because prints and magnets don't sell all that well, and I'd rather be having fun at the convention than working on comissions all weekend.
Anyways, I was getting worried that the books weren't going to make it in time, since it was well past the 1 month turn around time the company advertised, and I had to hassle them for any information at all. The books did finally arrive, on the day before the convention, in the middle of the afternoon. What's more, they turned out great.

The convention itself was a lot of fun. I really wasn't expecting it to be all that great, since ACen has a history of doing things rather poorly, especially as far as artists are concerned, but they really pulled things off wonderfully this year. The Artist's Alley was right next to the Dealer's Room, rather than shoved back in a basement closet like the past few years, and they included discounted con registration in the price of the tables.
I managed to sell about half the books, wich means I more than made up the printing cost in just one convention. It's always great to come home from a con with more money than you left with. Doesn't happen often for me.
Also, while at the convention I started on a new illustration piece, that I plan to colour after I've cleared a few other projects out of the way.

The week after the convention, a friend of mine was visiting from out of town. He also went to the convention, and had a wedding to go to in Chicago the following weekend, so he spent the week inbetween at my place.
Since he left the day my work week started up, I've only just started to get things done, like rebuilding my buffer of finished webcomic pages. I should have a third issue's worth of pages done before Reactor later this year, and have gotten more ideas for a new comic I hope to start work on before the year is out.
