When my sister was little, I told her that she was Asian and adopted...and that if she ever told my parents that she knew, then they'd send her back to China.
She believed me for like a year..she didn't even know what Asian meant.
And every once in a while I'll pick up something that says "Made in China" on it and I'll say to her, "Hey, you brought this with you."

I'm headed back to NYC for the Holiday. I'm extremely excited. It's the second time I'm going back since I moved out here almost two years ago!!
By the way, I'll look into the IM thing.
