After over a year of unemployment/ situational depression, my dad has a new job!! i cannot be happier for him, it has been terrible to see such a intelligent, vibrant man in such a rut. it's also nice to know that my family will be financially decent now, so i won't feel as guilty when i leave for school in the fall. we have been living pretty much hand-to-mouth for awhile now...

my current school situation is kinda sucking...i had to drop a sociology class yesterday. it felt stupid to do so this late in the semester, but i had no choice, it was that or fail the class and fuck up my precious grade point average.this professor is a total fucktard. i did her a favor by even bothering to pay attention in her class; sometimes i was the only one particiapting in there. i would nap for a few minutes, wake up to find her on some stupid (sometimes vaguely racist) rant and look around to see the rest of the class utterly stupified with boredom. i failed two of her tests when the grade is based almost entirely on them. One of the tests, she did not provide the essay question, when we were NOT told we had to memorize it! Another test, she nitpicked the fuck outta my essay. maybe i'm a quitter, but i would rather maintain my sanity and spare myself that bullshit.
(sorry, hopefully i'll do less bitching and more moaning )

Work is fun again. With Thanksgiving coming, my manager is too busy to keep an eye on us and i have free reign once again. Aaah it is good to be queen

"The Prestige" was surprisingly great. it just sucks b/c David Bowie was in it and he's finally not hot anymore, looks like an old man. i guess that happens eventually. it is gonna suck when Alex Trebek and Dr. Drew lose their hotness too
