proper post-bullrun update.
Had such a good time in the states.
My friend picked me up from the airport and I was talking about last time I was in LA in 1989, how I went skateboarding with Ray Barbee - a new pro skater at the time - at Venice Beach. We stop off to get some food and when we are getting back into our car this dude comes running up asking for directions, trying to get to a wedding reception. It was Ray Barbee. How fucking random is that. Great start to the week.
I love American girls so much. Probably because with a british accent, you've always got the start of a conversation. LA was great, went to this bbq at a little bar, sun was shinning (I'm english, it's still a novelty) and there's this stunning girl with a fifteen tattoe across her back and a screeching weasel logo on her ankle. Girls like that don't exist in real-life. Only on websites. Anyway, she left...
Had lots of fun visiting the company I work for, meeting all the people I deal with on the phone everyday.
Then went on the Bullrun from LA to Miami and had the best week. I used to organise the Gumball rally, so I've been on a few of these things, but this was the best. Great food, great parties, incredible hotels, quality racetracks and about 50 ferrari, lambo's and porsche etc along for the ride. Next year we go back the other way.
I hate Las Vegas, been there twice now and I just hate it. Went to the Oscar De La Hoya fight, which was pretty cool though.
Went in a Ferrari 360 stradale for a day, which was surreal. Driving through Texas, over 150 mph with Metallica - Battery blaring out.
In Phoenix saw an amazing hairmetal cover band called Metalhead. They play every sunday and it was amazing. Cheap drink, girls dancin on the bar and guys in wigs playing Gun n Roses. Fucking class. If you live within 200 miles of phoenix, you have to go.
Met an amzing girl in New Orleans - DK tattoe amongst others, bunch of piercings, she was awesome. And she jumped in the car with us through to Miami. So that livened up the last couple of days.
And the girl in the picture is another entrant, you'd never guess she is in porn, would you
Anyway, back in London, it's raining. Can't wait to get back to the states.
