::laffs:: pending my background check... i'm hired!

going to work for an after school program for kids whose parents can't pick them up from school at 3pm... so my schedule will monday thru thursday from 2.30-6pm. i know, it's only part time, it's not much pay, but it's regular school kids, not SED, and gives me plenty of time to get a second job, elsewhere. also, it helps me in my eventual goal of going back to grad school by giving me some additional field experience.

::sigh:: i feel better.

in a 2 in deep pan, prepare 1 pkg blue jello as normal. Before chilling, add Swedish fish and Gummi octopi, and any other ocean-y candies you can think of. chill as normal. surreal

Oh cool! I did that for a couple years. The kids were great, and since it was an afterschool/school-break-daycare program, we basically just got to play all the time, which was really fun. I was constantly worn out, but it was good because I was getting exercise, at least. But yeah, the pay sucked. I did that during breaks when I was working in special ed at a year-round school, which paid a bit better, but wasn't as much fun.

NPR does rock. I love love love it.

I'm a graphic designer & web developer now. I worked with special ed for 3 years, and while I really enjoyed it, and they loved me because they said I had the patience of a saint, I'm working toward a degree in graphic design, so it made sense to take this job.
