- I keep asking people why they like Obama and almost all of them tell me in some or fashion "He brings hope to the future of America". McCain always gets that 'country first' bullshit. Are we that full of blind optimism for Barry, or a (not so) subtle reverence for isolationism and Palin's "hockey mom" schtick? Now's not the time to be susceptible to a "fresh face" or be enamored by word play. This is far too critical a juncture in our nation's livelihood. Be more ingrained into the politics of politics. LOOK AT BOTH SIDES and then make a personal decision. I hate when people base their choice on superficiality or party allegiance.
And I guarantee you folks, it (the economy) is worse off than they're actually telling us.
