I think I actualy got 8 hours of sleep for once, and I really needed it! I woke up at noon for the first time in a while. I was on the phone again till 0 dark-thirty AM with a friend who has been having an even shittier week than I have. It was nice to hear from her, I was getting a little worried when I hadn't heard anything out of her in 3 months... She moved to Boston to be with her boyfriend and this asshole had been cheating on her the whole time! I've had some bad luck in relationships, but that's really gotta hurt.. Moving from Chicago to Boston and then finding out that this person who you're starting a new life with is cheating on you...
I don't know what to do with today.. I suppose I should be on the phone looking for new clients, but I just don't feel like working today. I do need to update my website though.. so maybe I'll find the motivation to do that after I drink some coffee. I've decided that there is no money in building computers for clients, so I need to remove that from my list of services. Anyone I've met recently who I said I would build one for.. have no fear, I'll still build you one! I just don't want to do it for clients. I need to re-organize my entire business plan and come up with something that works a bit better than this one.. I came close to dropping my Philadelphia rate, but after talking to my former business partner.. I was convinced that this was not a good idea. I've worked my ass off for almost 8 years to earn that rate, so dropping it just because things have become slow is just plain ridiculous! I decided that instead I would offer an incentive to anyone who gets me a good client. I'll give them 10% of the job, which can be quite a bit of money depending on the size of the job. This way I get to make money and so do my friends. I don't know what it is about this time of year, but people don't seem to want to spend money..

I might be hiring you for some future work. I can build computers I just don't have the time. SOoo why not give the work to someone who knows what their doing. Not anytime soon mind you, just food for thought.
