I just realized it was 5AM.. I guess I'll get plenty of sleep when I'm dead. I have spent the last 13 hours in front of multiple computers.



Some cool stuff though. I took apart an older server and this is what I found. If you're a computer geek like me, you'll know what this is.



I wish I had the motivation to put al this hardware to good use, but I'll probably just sell it. It would make a hell of a web server.


Notice the memory.. That's right.. Those are 128MB sticks of good ol' EDO RAM! That shit cost a fortune back in the day.. (for those of you who remember) These are actually PII 266's and w/512MB RAM each, that's some processing power (If you're running *nix) So anybody wanna buy it?

This is the mess that is my office. Well... part of it... the nicer part of it...


That first machine is my newly cobbled together workstation. It's an AMD 1.1GHZ running Debian and sad to say.. winblows XP so I can play Half Life. Thankfuly I only have to use winblows while playing games, which is not often. Notice the sexy hard drive array at the top of the case, that would be 2 80GB seagates and a 160GB for backup. It's so nice having all this stuff just laying around, no need to buy hardware! The case is actually for a rack mount server. It's heavy as hell, but it runs nice and cool.

I really need to leave the house today! I've been fucking around with computers for nearly 2 days and not getting paid to do it! I suppose I should go make some money today.

Well, as you can see I have had no life for the past 2 days... I think I'll have one today though.
