Today is going to be a long day, but in a good way. I do have a little bit of work to do this morning, but I'm taking the rest of the day off. My friend from LA is coming to visit for a week! What a nice surprise. Today is also special for another more personal reason.. 3 years ago today, I had my last drink. That's pretty damn cool considering where I was 3 years ago.
So today the plan is get over to my clients place nice and early, finish up over there and pick up Nicole downtown. Gotta go out for a nice dinner, maybe japanese.. Aoi at 12th and walnut is sounding really good to me. After that, party at my house!
Rant from yesterday:
This one goes out to all you wanna be computer techs and consultants. PLEASE STOP representing yourselves as something you are NOT!! One of you just cost my client a shit load of money to have me fix what you totaly fucked up! You also cost me my only full day off this week! I really find it hard to believe that anyone could justify selling a $250 piece of crap misconfigured pc for $1300!!! WTF? It didn't even work! I really hate people like you because you give those of us who are honest and know what we are doing a really bad name! You are the reason people don't trust IT Consultants! Just because you built yourself a pc once or twice, does NOT qualify you to be a tech! I worked my fucking ass off for almost 8 years to earn my $75-$125/Hr. Rate! Where the fuck do you get off charging someone $100/Hr. and not being able to do what you said you could?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
So that about summed up yesterday! I spent from 3PM to 11:30PM fixing this guys fuck ups! Then I had to take the machine home with me and finish the job! Thank god yesterday is over.
