Your lifestyle isn't "Wrong"!

This, I've had more people tell me how wrong I am that I support (some thing I support) than asked me how I'm doing.

That... Is wrong.

I don't care if you don't eat meat. I am allergic to oranges. See how little that information affected your life? See how relevant that was?

OK, some background... I've been taking some shit on social media because I feel the FDA operates under archaic laws, mainly from vegan terrorists who don't respect that there are LAYERS to this issue.

This mentality that "If something doesn't work, throw it away." instead of "Let's fix this. Let's make it work.", makes me sick.

I also have friends that don't seem to understand that I can sympathize with the LGBTQ community without being a member of it.

Why, after fifty thousand years of civilization, do we still narrow EVERYTHING down to two options? I can't love puppies and kitties yet still like bacon and eggs? I can't like to go to bars, and not drink alcohol? I can't be a fan of Adult Swim yet not be a cable customer?

People are complex beings. We have found a way to turn dead animals into energy AND jewelry. We have this concept of Right vs Wrong, as if those words have any bearing in the grand scheme of things. What we MEAN is "Socially Acceptable" vs "Socially Destructive", and there's no lines that define each.

In fact... I'd say the only thing that IS wrong is trying to restrict people for behaving like people.

There is also not throwing the baby out with the bathwater in a bigger right vs wrong way, like a friend of mine just posted a statement from a seaworld guy about how seaworld will step in to save stranded marine life, and my impression is that she thinks this is wrong, because it means more creatures end up in their 'care' which isn't that great at the moment - i don't know the full story. Though just because its a big corporation doesn't mean its all 'evil', hell some of these stranded whales and that won't survive if they are chucked back in the ocean and yet so many people have this romantic view that 'they are somehow better off' if they aren't in the clutches of AN EVIL CORPORATION, its totally stupid and silly. Sure some of their practices might be a bit like woah hang on a sec, though to totally rule them out as a practical means to help these creatures live, is totally stupid. I see this kind of thing all the time, people rebelling against systems and corporations for the sake of it, like its the cool thing to do, rather than taking the good and the bad and seeing it from a bigger point of view then I THINK ITS WRONG therefore the corporations can't help. haha rant over.

Well, first off... Thanks to the staff for noticing my blog, it's ALWAYS a treat! As far as our topic is concerned, I wrote this over a month ago. I'm still as passionate about the subject, if not more. I'm not going to wax political, but let me say publicly that shouting a your finger thrust into my face because I do not share an outdated opinion of "leadership", may lead to loss of said finger in the future. This is not said in support or protest of any particular campaign. What I will say is that in my 18 years of voting capability, I've NEVER seen people so WILLING to wear their heart on their sleeve for a candidate that they know SO LITTLE ABOUT on a personal level. Also, to my friends who don't care to get involved in the political process, bless you. It's fine to not to be invested in politics, at all. I probably wouldn't have been myself, had my family not had (somewhat) distant (read: QUESTIONABLE) ties to the Kennedys.
