First post, already a complaint? Well, not exactly, because this isn't my first post. Not by a far stretch. But my old account was locked. Permanently. Which sucks a lot.
And for all I know, it's all because of a major fuck-up, either on SGs-side or my bank. I received a good-bye-message via e-mail, telling me, that I will be missed and they are sorry, that my membership ended, asking, if maybe it was just a mistake and my billing-information changed. (The usual pre-defined stuff) So I tried to reactivate my account, without any success, it only yielded a “this account is locked” as a result.
So I wrote to the support – and who would have guessed? They told me, my account was closed due to a violation of the TOS. I apparently issued a cashback for one of the monthly fees.
Thing is... I never did that. So I called my bank institute and even VISA to ask, if they have any documents regarding that transaction. There was none. Not a single file or clue that there was any kind of cashback asked for.
Unfortunately, the help-team here didn't care much for that. They still only pretty much told me: “Shit out of luck, your account is perma-locked.”
Maybe I'm a little bit unfair and they couldn't open it, even if they wanted to. In the end, I have no idea how that system works, but it's really frustrating losing all the posts, group-accesses and of course, the awesome people I was following. So my old account just sits there, taunting me.
This was always my feel-good-place here, and getting that taken away just like that just sucks...
Buuuut for NOW I'm back and try to get back to status quo. I would love to have all you great people back.
