ok, yesterday (saturday) i went into Newark, DE to play some pool, and ended up playing the confidant of the poolroom's owner. i have known this guy since '97 and he is a good guy. the kid that he has working the poolroom is starting to be very lax when it comes to running the room, and the owner asked me as a favor if i can inspire the kid alittle bit. now this kid is 17, and has a brain on him. he just got accepted to Duke University, so it is not like he is dumb. i guess the idea is that since years ago i ran a poolroom, and was quite successful at doing it, that i might be able to help the kid out alittle in trying to be better organized when it comes to running the room. anyway while i was there i tried to give the kid some helpful hints, and whatnot. i did manage to play alittle, and i played like shit.

after that i went to the shooting range, and spent about 2 1/2 hours there, then left to come home. as i was driving towards home i decided to stop off at the local poolroom just to shoot the shit, and ended up playing with a friend of mine. i didn't play as bad as i played earlier, and towards the end i started to hit the ball ok. you have to keep in mind that i am playing with my "breaking" cue while i'm waiting for the one cue to be finished. all in all i could have played far worse. it still goes to show that i still have the knowlege in my head, it is just gonna take awhile to get it from my head down into my arms, and hands once, if i decided to start playing again. we'll see.
