time is too short and so much of it is wasted waiting.

as i always do at christmas time, i just read "a christmas story" by truman capote. it is such a wonderfully descriptive, happy and sad story. as the holidays approach i really miss "being in love" with someone. there are many friends and activities, but the excitement of being in love and shopping and planning for that very special person is deeply missed.
