went to an private srt show in a fellows apartment yesterday. i know one of the artists...she is a very good painter. there are so many painters and so much mediocrity. she is a lesbian, but then what woman under 30 isn't at least sort of one...you know the fashion of the times. the owner of the apartment is a serious collector of another sort. it was fascinating to see his guarded collection of historical artifacts. a very intelligent fellow he is. the level on conversation was refreshingly high.
