Well, I tried playing my pipes today and the net result was my thumb hurting like a bitch.
My band's first contest is in less than two weeks and I should be playing at least 45 minutes a day right now...

So I've been rather busy the past few days. Moving people out of their dorm rooms at college, seeing people I helped move in their freshman year graduate (how utterly bizarre), and generally feeling like I want to be ending another year of school right now too...

X-Com: UFO defense is still one of the best video games ever...released in the early 90s by microprose you must direct the planet's efforts to stave off an alien invasion. I had to get patches to even run the game since my computer is too good for the original program to run, and yet it's so timeless.

Well, my pipe band played up in Michigan this weekend. We sounded great and are well on our way to playing like we want to play for this season...I can't wait to go to Glasgow for the world pipe band championships in August.

We had a concert tonight and although it wasn't the best that I've ever heard us sound, it still sounded fantastic. I can't wait to go out to some competitions and kick ass. We even stand a good chance of placing in, if not winning, the world pipe band championships in our grade. Then it's likely we could be upgraded...

Update:

Weather- sucks ass, still very cold at 6 AM when I go to work.
