Sweet hell I hate moving.
Ok, that's a lie. I'm actually quite excited about the move I'm in the middle of...except for the humidity, heat, exhaustion, little fact that I'm not quite finished packing yet (even though I've already taken a ton of stuff to the new place), and the fact that approximately 25% of the population of the greater Boston area moves on September 1st.
The place is, however, HUGE- a 4 bed that constitutes the entire first floor of the building. They just redid the floors, repainted, etc, etc. The landlord needs to have one last load of detritus removed and we have an enclosed porch. It has one and a half baths, a ridiculously large kitchen, and, joy of joys, a dishwasher!
The new roomies are friends I've known for some time, and we all share common interests, and the circles of friends overlap, so our parties should be fantastic. Oh, and did I mention that Matthew, one of my flatmates, works at a liquor store and will be happy to contribute his 20% discount to my bartending skills?
I'm excited.
The only downside is that I'll be offline for a few days, not that my absence will pain too many of my loyal journal readers, so much as be normative behavior.
