quiescence

Mehfleh.

I put in about 11 hours at work today attempting to clean up other peoples' messes before our store manager returns from vacation tomorrow. There are still 52 boxes of unprocessed new merchandise that have lain untouched since they arrived on Thursday, so my own puny efforts really won't count for much on the balance of things.

I hope that I can actually manage to use little details like that as evidence that we are woefully understaffed and ill-prepared to go into the holiday season.

I had a long rehearsal for the fashion show. My kidneys hurt. It's a very odd sensation...but not entirely unexpected given the depth of my back bend and all that steel boning in my corset that I'm trying to ignore.

Tomorrow we're going to have a Globe photographer at practice taking some shots for the article that will be running on the show later this week. Je suis hereux.
