So my only previous long-term gf is engaged. I'm happy for her, but weireded out as this means that 4 of my friends are going to be married in the next year, and I found out about all of them within the last month or so. This is a bit unnerving as it is a rapid increase up from the previous nil figure.
Lord, I'm even playing pipes at two of the three weddings...

I feel your pain man. All in the same year (while I was 19) I found out my first long-term g/f had a kid, my second got married and had a kid, and I was the best man in my good friend's wedding (and now he's got a kid).

Fuck growing up.

It's always strange when you talk to an ex and find out they are married/with child/engaged. But I know what you mean about weddings...seems like everyone you know chooses to get married in the same year. I think we've been to 4 weddings this year so far.
