So my last blog was bothering me. I'm not one to rant and rave in that fashion.

I'll be graduating in May with a Bachelor's in Anthroplogy. I'm still in love with my capstone project; comparing Pickup artist work to Behavioral Evolutionary theory. It's interesting to see where they're full of shit and where their statements meet the road of accepted evolutionary sexual selection. So far I've developed some respect for the authors of pickup who fully acknowledge that it it a Self-Help phenomena, not a secret end all to meeting the woman of your dreams. That being said, I've applied some of it to myself and have found an amazing amount of success. Not with women, but with self image and comfort. Which indirectly has helped with meeting women.

I was hoping to continue my academic career into a Masters program, but most of them that follow the Evolutionary Behavior track are combined Masters-Phd's. I can;t seem to convince the Vocational Rehabilitation people at the VA that it's worthwhile to pay for me to go through the program. tongue

so it looks like I'll be going ahead with plan B, I'll be getting a job helping Veterans out. I've found that it's a passion of mine helping my friends and fellow vets that I've met through school. One that I anticipate will be satisfying in the long run, even though I know just how much of a pain in the ass the VA medical system can be.

Which reminds me, The back surgery to reduce the Herniated disc in my back was successful, I'm 75% free of back pain now. unfortunately that means no more 225 lb jump squats, or 400lb deadlifts. Which really makes me sad, but I'll have to deal with lifting within normal people's ranges. My ankle is another story, the reconstructed ligaments is strong enough that I can juke, twist, and do just about everything I could on it before. Playing low impact sports is back on the menu.biggrin
