I've felt something like that before too. I even felt it with a woman I met through the personals, just by the sound of her voice and the way she expressed herself on the phone before we met. And after we met and spent many hours of our evenings and nights on the phone, communion was the word that came to mind to describe my experience with her. But it hasn't worked out with any of them - not long term anyway. Still, I've gained something from meeting all of them.

And the laundry thing, I had something happen that was not nearly as nice. I had clothes in the washer and I came down to put them in the dryer and some ass-bag had taken my stuff out of the washer, still wet, and just piled it all on top of the dryer. Fucking dick.
That day made me dislike humanity just a little more.

i mean, there are some complexities in any parent-child relationship, but it comes down to simply digging them.
i don't talk to them every day.
i don't consider either one my best friend.
i don't gush to everyone i know that they're the greatest people int he world.
but they are wonderful and amazing and i love them dearly.
it's very simple.
