Arrogance is the enemy of intelligence, though the two come often hand in hand. It would do the intelligent good to remember that. It would do the arrogant good to remember that.

Spending a week in my parents' house. It is big and cold and lonely just like it was when I was a teenager. I've been hanging out with my brother, who has good but somewhat narrow-minded taste in music, and I look forward to the arrival of my aunt, uncle, and cousin tomorrow. I want to see my two dear friends from highschool, Amber and Noelle, but I have not yet called them. I haven't seen Amber since last March. She is a wondrous, glorious girl who is probably the best Christian I've ever met. I only hope I haven't grown too weird for her. Last time I saw her, I felt a fishtank between us, but it may have been all my imagination.

It's hard to love people sometimes. It seems anymore, every love you feel is unrequited.
