Where I am it is very cold.

I stayed up all night last night-- literally all night-- doing my Daoism paper. I think it could be interesting to really study Daoism if only to find the exact instant where it all went horribly, horribly wrong. If you've read that pretty Daodejing and the Tao of Pooh, you don't know Daoism. You'd learn more from watching...

Well I'm genuine glad we could reach an understanding. I've been up for almost 36 hours (so un-Taoist frown) so I must crash before the shadow kitties eat me (don't ask). Thanks for the interesting exchange.

Okay, I came over here to talk about what we were discussing in the thread about that little girl, and got totally distracted by the pictures above. love

Anyway, I consider myself an agnostic at this point in time because I can't reconcile myself with the idea of a benevolent/personal god, and at the same time can't dismiss the scientific possibility that the universe was created by a higher intelligence. I think I understand to a certain extent where y'all are coming from, so I hope it's not taken otherwise. But yeah, this is something we can definitely discuss if you're interested - I've already pondered this issue to the point of neurosis, so I don't see what it could hurt. smile

And I concur with the above sentiments about your cuteness. And girls kissing is always a wonderful thing in my book. ooo aaa
attack_macaque:
Thanks! I will say that while I am an agnostic, I am interested in learning about religions, particularly non-Christian ones (I was raised Southern Baptist puke puke puke ), and hopeful that I will find something someday that clicks in some meaningful way. I have a passing knowledge about the eastern religions (Hinduism/Buddhism in particular), and think that they're probably closer to the truth than the Judeo-Christo-Islamic strain here in the west. But I still have a lot to learn in that area.

On that note, I think I am going to go to bed, since I have to be up for work in three hours. frown But we can pick this up later if you like.

Can someone tell me how to put images in a post?

There are things that can only be told without words.

Saturday, Dec 11

Thank you! Now all I need is a digital camera. Maybe if I made a wishlist with nothing but a digital camera on it I'd get one. I'm not above whoring naked pictures of myself to get a camera with which...

It's hilarious how I always seem to update when I'm procrastinating writing a Hinduism paper. The really funny thing is that I actually want to write this paper, in theory, at least. The really, really funny thing is that my apparent definition of "funny" is so far removed from what I assume to be the rest of the world's.

Hinduism is great and fascinating. Sometimes...

Oh yeah, just a little tidbit of knowledge that you may or may not have known: rats are the companions of the god Ganesha. Since they can gnaw through almost anything and Ganesha is the god of removing obsticals...its a perfect fit! biggrin

Back back back.

Home over Thanksgiving, found all my old journals from when I was fifteen up. If you're ever in need of a good humbling, find your teenage journals.

I'm afraid we won't be able to keep Aki, the little kitty we took from Thade's parents' house. I'm 'lergic, she's a kitten, and I don't have time to be takin' care of no kids....

Thank you for all the encouraging words. The paper came out all right, I guess. I hope.

I'm going to be without internet access for about a week. I'm sure heart-attacks will ensue for all the people who read my journal like a sweet, sweet heroin fix. It's a heroine fix! Word!

When I return from celebration of Thanksgiving, I will tell more. Having trouble...

Corn flakes are delicious and I feel stupid.

Here's to failing school and looking like a schmuck in front of the one teacher you have a huge crush on.

Never try to combine Freud, St. Augustine, and A Clockwork Orange unless you're feeling long overdue for a severe mental fugue.

Never do it the night before your paper is due unless you want to cry...

is it morning, and are you feeling better?
first, i guess, i am totally with you on what you posted on my 'asexual desires' thread. lots of unrequited love in my teens and even into my current old age. then again, if it's unrequited, maybe it's not love. i really don't believe love is a one way street...
i just decided to fail my geography class, so don't feel too bad about a shitty paper. of course any paper that involve freud can't be good. maybe you can get brownie points for drawing phallic symbols in the margins.
i think my anthro teacher has a crush on me. he said my name about 8 times in class one day and i don't like being singled out. i feel weird not doing that great in his class considering it's one of the best i've taken in my academic "career" (shudder at the word).
nice to hear of another woman "giving up the razor" so to speak. i'm actually kind of disapointed by the number of models on this site that shave. it reminds me too much of mainstream porn. shaved, sleak, airbrushed, not really my thing.
now to listen to my new albums i picked up from the liberry...

Quick update. I got my bag back. Hooray! NEE-Bocks and all. How fortuitous.

Let me just say, when I first joined this site, I was of the opinion that it did not qualify as porn. I had a negative opinion of porn, mostly because a large portion of modern American porn I've seen is very male-centric and very degrading to women. This site did not...

and i agree with ya completely with everything you said regarding porn & SG, i couldnt have said it better myself. why do ya think ive been a member her for 2+ years?

so you are a fan of the girls who dont shave huh? me too! there is just something about them... plus seeing girls with even a lil bush, pit hair or even a happy trail seems rare these days, i miss that! so are you going for that look? gonna stop shaving then?
punknitemike:
damn, your comment totally turned me on! wink

Yes, I am still mad.

But now I'm also mad because somebody stole my backpack, in which resided my notebooks, my very pretty journal, my birthday pen, my wallet, my cell phone, and my epic continuing comic: The Saga of NEE-Bocks. I hope I get it back.

The Bob Dylan concert was awesome. I think I finally got it when he was playing Desolation Row....

sometimes it's hard to see outside of the box when you're stuck inside of it have never been outside of it and something is keeping the lid on. so how do we lift the lid

(above "you" refers not to quenten but to "joe-ima-hardworking-christian")

that lid's on pretty fucking tight, how do we get it off?

and alright, and i agree individuals are accountable, personal responsibility is lacking in mass numbers all around...
did you go to ohio? i didn't.
kundalini:
The first two ideas that come to mind are:
1. Run off to a faraway land and start a colony of US expatriots made up of writers and artists.
2. Begin laying extensive groundwork for a violent revolution by writing inflamatory manifestos and striving to point out all of the ways that current US culture suffocates and kills the very freedoms that we are supposed to be representing to the rest of the world

Staying here and working toward some sort of peaceful betterment of society doesn't strike me as a profitable enterprise right now. There are too many conservatives around with too much power to stand up as a left-wing radical without some sort of strong financial backing. I'm too poor to start a liberal newsletter or to fund any enterprises that could wield some sort of political and or social clout. The bible-thumpers have money and loud stupid voices. I truly am worried that the only way to stop this slide to the extreme right is through violent revolution. Most people here in the states are too stupid, fat and lazy to care about what goes on outside of their living rooms. As long as they have Joey, CSI, Jessica Simpson, Lindsey Lohan, Trick Daddy and all of that pop culture shit to immerse their puerile brains in while they feed like cows on garbage and fast food filled with artificial ingredients and meat products cut from animals so full of chemicals they qualify as toxic waste (sorry, I got on a rant) they won't do shit except sit back and watch the world turn. Our stupid isolationist foreign policy will make pariahs of us all, if it hasn't already and the sheep out here don't give a shit as long as they can graze as consumers in shopping centers drowning their reality in a sea of mindless, repetitive distraction.
I have little faith left in the human race. I believe in some of the kids I teach, and I try to make the rest care too, but it wears me down...
What I do is try to show these kids that this country isn't really what everybody thinks it is. It's a lie. You can't grow up to be President unless you're fucking rich and a goddamn liar, and the fucking American dream is dead. It's up to the younger generations to stand up and reclaim it before it is too late, but the bad guys already have their claws in them. Kids in our culture are brought up on the most vapid and meaningless television and music and we just stand back and accept it while they are brainwashed into little consumer slaves who only exist to put money into the pockets of wealthy business owners and buy tons of shit they don't really need in a quest to find some sort of false happiness in this life.
Its sad but true that the number of people who know that there is something seriously wrong with the way we live in this country is very little...

'Scuse me. I got a little worked up there... I'm going outside to get some cool air and settle down before my head explodes... mad

Hello. I'm feeling much better now. And I'm doing things.

I've been working on this epic drawing this weekend. I'm really happy with how it's coming out. When it's done, I'll try to take a picture of it and post it here. I hope I can make it look as good as it does in my head.

As for writing, I'm doing something. Not as...
