Whoa. I am done school so soon, and I am so happy, because it is over so soon. WOOHOO! Question for anyone who has tattoos?! If you decide to not get a tattoo but you put down big bones, should you get your money back? I understand if the shop keeps the minimum deposit, but do they have the right to keep the rest if your not getting anything done? And I am talking 450$ dollhairs. They say it is a non-refundable deposit, but that is unfair. Advice on how to deal with the situation?

maybe if they will not give the cash back and you do not want the tat you could give the down payment to a friend who wants some ink done .....ether as they pay you what you lost {or most of it so it is incentive for them} or as an awesome gift for some one you care about who wants ink

I Would say absolutely not, unless you have completely flaked out on the shop multiple times. Then, Yes I could see why they want to to keep it. As for the full amount, I can't really justify it, the deposit for sure, but not the full 450.
