Phew. I mangaed to find some sound files to use for Marilyn... thank goodness!

My friend Erin came to visit this weekend. Lots of fun girl talk and silliness to be had by all. Her roommate is dating my roommate - so cute and idyllic together! He came to stay as well, and we all ate Vietnamese food and watched Hair and Fellini's Roma. I...

Shock and horror! I've managed to loose (or worse, have it stolen!) a very important CD.... the one with all the nno-lyrics Marilyn Monroe music for my show next week!

I;ve ordered some MIDI files to be emailed to me (they haven't yet), and ordered another CD (in hopes it will arrive soon). Crap. Anyone out there got any karaoke Marilyn Monroe files lying around?...

Sorry to hear about the missing CD. I'd say live and learn but you don't need trite sayings, you need the songs. Hope you get them again.
Scuzzy bars rock. My friends and I always went to the Cambie when we were in Vancouver. Intresting people with the possibility of danger with every drink. Now you see why I stay away from alcohol these days.

Made it thru the first week back at school... relatively unscathed. I say relatively, because I did manage to injure myself!...
The other day I fell down some stairs onto my hand - which has swollen up. I even have a bruise on my palm. I've been icing it - but what a dumb injury! The worst is that it's my right hand - so...

....So I made it back to Edmonton yesterday.
Safe, but I have a cold. whatever
Missed my class yesterday - but today was a fun drama class. Lots of people I know, and fun installation work to be done. I have to do practicum hours (the idea of recording hours seems funny; I always just stayed uber-late working on productions - never for credit. It just...

Cool - I am originally from Bentley, but I tell people Red Deer because most people don't know where that is. I was in the music program in Red Deer for 2 weeks until I decided that I wanted to be in Edmonton where I went to Grant MacEwan to do the Dance program. I agree with you -Edmonton is better!!

No flights outta this snowy little town...

Gives me the weekend to read the Alexandria Quartet - and sleep. Methinks I sense a sore throat. Booruns.

I am NOT fatale as an after-dinner mint!...

Does anyone get this reference? Sigh.
Feeling still outta place in this town - and starting to look forward to picking up all the pieces of me... starting new classes, and living life in general. This town is like a waiting room for me, I swear. The distractions (yes, all of you!) are lovely - but the...

Okay. So this snow sucks and I'm not sure if you can still meet me for coffee. The buses are pretty much kaput so I'm kind of stuck here. I hope you get this before you go out cause I'd rather you were safe and warm instead of dealing with some of the idiots I saw on the road earlier. If not, I humbly apologise.
Have a safe trip back to Edmonton tomorrow. kiss

I love that sketch.

I hope things go smoother for you on your way back to Edmonton..

Oh, the joys of sleeping in like an idiot.

I bought the Return of the King extended version dvd yesterday... So I will be watching it this evening with my daddy. blush He weaned me on the books, and we've always stayed up late watcing each movie (and dvd), then discussing its merits afterwards. tongue

Now *this* would have been a fun movie to work on! Can...

Hey you!!
Looks like it might snow on Friday( shocking, ain't it) so to play it safe I'm going to leave my bike at home. This means that I'll be running 30 min late. Could we meet at 5:30pm??

Mmm... sweet sweet theatre... biggrin
I understand completely.

Happy New Years, kids.

I hope you all had a fun night.
I spent it working at Lucky bar with the fabulous Miss pennylane80... Fun, but tiring. I dressed and did makeup on the woman who stripped (Holly Goodhead - ha)... did quick changes backstage, then worked the door/coatcheck. The incomparable Ms. Lane was also my New Years' kiss... though I managed to snag...

That sounds like a fun way to spend a New Year's Eve. Kind of like work but since you don't do it on a regular basis not really.
You're leaving on Sat right? Maybe we could do coffee on Friday after I get off work.
yawg:
I get off at 3:30. 30 min to bike home, 20 minutes to get cleaned up and changed and about 30 minutes( playing it safe ) to get to Broadmead. How about 5 pm then? We could meet after dinner time too but I have to be on a bus heading downtown at 8.

Bah.
Shitty day - business and assholes at the video store. Also a lot of girls making their boyfriends rent them lame romantic comedies. Poor bastards.

(I made the mistake of saying that to a customer... The guy laughed, but the gal glared at me bitchily.)tongue

The best part of my day was watching Shaun of the Dead and laughing at all the great gore....

Tonight I was meant to meet up with Tear_Garden. Sadly, plans went awry. Boourns.
I was just about to settle into watching more movies at home like the slob I've been...

When I decided to phone my friend Geoff; he's my dancing partner/fellow drama geek from highschool. Tonight, we sang along to musical soundtracks at his place, then went to see Phantom of the...

I think I'll stick with the original Phantom of the Opera myself.
The songs are fun to play though. I used to always get a kick ass organ sound and play the theme whenever my old band had a sound check and when the singer told me to shut up....I'd play it even more biggrin
I may have to cancel going to the movie with you on Sat night frown . See my journal for the reason.
