Most wonderful evening!

Just got home from Swing City - I go swing dancing almost every week with some friends (it's a ritual we started 5 years ago) - and I had the most fabulous time!



It's been pretty slow lately, so I've been worried about it getting cancelled; but tonite was pretty busy. I even had to park in the residential area in James Bay. Lots of good swing music too - they even played a polka, which I love to dance to. (I know, I'm a dork. I don't even know how to polka properly, I just make it up. Thankfully I've got friends who can lead well!)

Next week they're doing more lessons and east coast swing, if anyone is interested. There's even a bar.

In other news:
Didn't take the job at the Entertainer, as the owner is quite clearly crazy. Despite interesting anecdotes this would provide me with, I'm not quite ready about to give up my safe haven in Broadmead for that of Quadra Village. Anyhow.

Am working the rest of the weekend, but that means more money I can spend frivolously (like the dumb kittie tshirt I bought today).

Am off to cuddle with my golden retriever.
