George Carlin used to do the narration for Thomas the Train. It's a little like if Andrew Dice Clay used to be Mr.DressUp.

The Incredibles, was a very fun movie. Lots more for adults than kids I think, but then again what Disney movie doesn't these days. The movie just screamed, "weekly cartoon series".

Life is pretty sad when you realize that the entire thing...

I would personally punch 100 right wing nutcases in the face to allow one gay couple the equal right to marry.
I'd be a little scared of the referendum numbers here too. I know Alberta would be a lost cause. This province's neck is far redder than the rest of the country.

freakpirate:
The problem with that is that marriage is tied to the government now. In order to be elligible for spousal benefits the marriage needs to be recognized by the states. Most employers won't give that. Your spouse counts for absolute fuck all in the eyes of the legal system if the government doesn't recognize it. There's no way marriage is going to be removed from the eyes of the government. It's just not feasable. The only solution now is to open it up so that the same benefits that apply to heterosexual couples apply to everyone else.

Spent most of my actual birthday in recovery.
Big thanks to Aya and hubby glasses_ninja for nursing me and the wife back to health for the first 5 hours of yesterday! Your hospitality is unequaled.

A great big thank you for all the swell birthday wishes, and for all you young punks reminding me how old I am. tongue

Holy Shit 5 whole days without my computer has been pure hell. Turned out that my old video card wouldn't un-install without wiping the system, they gave me a card of a different make and supposedly everything works peachy now. I don't know because I got it home and it wouldn't start, turns out they fucked around all the IDE cables when they put it...

They don't. My old roommates and I had Telus. There were three of us downloading almost 24/7 and we never heard a word from them. I'm going to try to talk my current roommate into switching over.

i agree with what you said a lot. but the bigger issue for me when i was training was the physical fitness and sharpening of my reflexes. i was relying on the writings of myamoto musashi and sun tzu and bruce lee for my spiritual development regarding martial arts.

i don't think i'll be able to pick it up this year, but next summer for sure i'll get right back into it. it'll take quite a while for me to get back into the competitive shape i once was in, but that's definately an important goal for me.

judo is an extremely intriguing martial art for me...i'd like to get involved with it as well...how bout you? any grappling-type martial arts that you've thought about?

It is strange to watch children go to school....our daughter starts the 2nd grade in a bout week...and she already talks like a teenager-the time flys my friend. Hope all is well with the family, injury, and fast fading summer.....feel the chill it is good for the bones.

Klondike dayz as usual, was loud and expensive. But as always we had a riot. I need a T-shirt that says "I'm here for the food!" There was a few new rides there, and if I wasn't injured, I would have sooo been all over them. We were chaperoning a couple 14yr old girls, so I had to use my 'asshole stare' for a few...

Well the MRI was a total bust. Too much pain to lie down on my back, let alone lie down on my back and be completely still for 30 min. They are going to drug the shit out of me and try again on Friday. Yey!

Spent the entire day today on SG, I am so fucking bored. Thankfully I found this little link' Kamando...

I tried to find an image, unsuccessfully, of the putrid black/green/yellow cloud spewing into the atmosphere at the Sycrude site right now. It seems to me that they must pay a fortune to keep these types of images out of the media. They did their best to ensure us that it was simply benign carbon, and then evacuated everyone a day later. I'm sick again...
