Evening folks.
So I stayed up till nearly 4 o' clockers this a.m. drunk talking to a very special person, and toward the end the beer ran out and stupidly I switched to a white wine, which may not have been the best decision, but hopefully the last true dumb one I will make in this truely bizarre year of '03. Only ignorant due to the fact that I had to be at work before 10 o' clock, and once my body retires after some drinking happens, it tends to want to stay locked in that mode for a decent amount of time, at least long enough for the alcohol to wear off, and I can stagger out of bed, or crawl to the shower cursing the makers of something that can entice me so easily and fuck me over at the same time.
But alas, it was not to be.
My alarm went off at 8:30, and I woke up to Full Metal Jacket the film I had chosen to pass out to only 4 short hours earlier, and it was on repeat, and visions of Vietnam only added to the sadness I felt this Friday morn. But I managed to make it to work, lethargic and unshaven, by 9:45, where I worked until 5:00, before I walked out....proud that I had defeated the Hangover Demon, and I promised myself I would never again do anything so stupid...at least for the rest of the year.
